Do you tip over $10 when your meal costs more than $70-$80? That should be your only concern, really. Good tipper you are!

I used to be a waitress. $10 is usually a great tip on one meal at a casual dining restaurant, but you should be tipping at least 20% and better depending on the quality of service. The reason for this is that most waiters have to give a certain percentage of their total ticket to other members of the staff like the host and bartender regardless of whether or not you tip well. So be sensitive to that fact when figuring a tip.

You should tip 15-20% so if your meal costs... 30 bucks you should only tip 2-3 dollars... if it costs 60, 4-5 bucks 90, 8-9 bucks, 120 dollars 160-170 bucks... so it would only be ten dollars if you spent like 95-100 dollars... also, if the service is reallly good i usuall add 2 or three bucks to the 15%

It depends, if you go to the bar and have 2 beers, then yes. If you go to a resturant and eat $80 of food, then the waitor will hate you. You are supposed to tip 20% or 15% if they are bad and the food sucks. It's easy math.
Say the bill is $14.50. (you know that 20% = 10% + 10% right?) So 10% of $14.50 (just move the decimal to the left) is $1.450. Now just add $1.450 and $1.450 and that's you're 20% tip. ($2.90)

i am sorry to report but that is too much money to tip everywhere you go so even if the service is really crappy you still give them $10? I think not!

If that includes McDonald's. A good rule of thumb on leaving tips is when you get the bill...look at the sales tax and leave double that amount. Simple.
