how does a one armed person fasten his or her shoelaces?
i realize that there are buckles, velcro, even buttons that are possible for a one armed person to fasten has anybody any thoughts on this?

im sorry if i offended anyone, as for being shot that is a little on the extreme side ,i have tried to fasten my shoelaces with only using one hand, i also realize that prosthetic arms are getting better, bur as yet they have not yet developed as far as i am aware a arm ,with fingers that can manipulate a lace and for us it is such a simple task, it is to this end that my question was aimed

i roomed with a guy who had a prosthetic and he could do everything with one arm...not really sure how but i guess it was just adapt to survive...he was as good with his fake arm as i was with my real one too i'd like to add

well the field to provide disabled people with tools to help them live a more "normal" life is huge!!
I would imagine they have some sort of tool for that, not sure what it would be, but im sure its out there! Or maybe they really do just have to wear velcro ....
After I got into a car accident and broke damn near 1/2 my body i was amazed and what services are available for people with disabilities.

My best friend does not have her right harm...and there's nothing that she won't do...sometimes I'm amazed with the things she can accomplish...specially the most simple ones...like tying her shoelace...or even her bra...
