I have a broken PS2 can someone help?

It spins about a quarter turn then stops and the laser doesn't come on. I can't afford a new one, and if it cost too much to fix it's just as bad. Can anyone help?

I'm sorry to say that it sounds like your ps2 is toast for sure. Maybe you could try praying a lot and see if that help. Just start saving for a new one or wait for the ps3 to come out and then buy a ps2 on eBay for cheap. I feel your pain for sure, it's sad when a family member dies like that.

Pick up the unit, grab it firmly....then launch it into your garbage can! Say byby to it.
