Racism will always exist. It has since the dawn of our "civilization" and it will exit until there is only one person left in our species. Just look at ourselves, we are always comparing us to other people to some degree whether in sports, school, work, or lifestyle. If we come out on top we feel proud and happy. Take that innocent attitude and mutiply it by millions of people of the same race/culture/religion, add misunderstanding, disputes and yes, ignorance, then you have superiority complex and racism.
The best we can do as humans is to recognize this tendency and curb that ugliness consciously within ourselves.

Racism will always exist because of the natural tendency of a person psyche. We categorize what we learn on a daily basis. We generalize what we learn about one thing to apply to other things or all things in a category unless it's proven wrong.
For instance, I meet someone who talks with an accent. Later, I find out that they are from Ireland and they also happen to drink a lot of beer. Until I meet another Irish person that breaks that rule, it will be my natural tendency to think that many Irish people are like the person that I just met.
Now I had the advantage of working with many people from many different countries all over the world when I went to college. Therefore, my mind has retained the knowledge that there are as many different types of people from other countries as there are types of people in my own country.

Because some people are just not willing to let go.. and let God..... true stories on ALL sides of racism are passed down from generations. These mean and cruel stories that are passed down only fuels the fire of racism... until we get a generation that is forgiving of the past and is willing to move on.. we will always have racism.. We have newer generations that are prejudice and dont even know why but because grandpa showed the example they carry it on to the next... Lets all try to remember that God created all of us.. as equals!! No one is better than the other!!

Because people still make it an issue. And no I am not just talking about white people being racist. Im talking about colleges accepting certain races to fill a quota. Im talking about people suing companies for discriminating based on their race. Im talking award shows and television companies catering to one certain race. It's ridiculous. If people would stop talking about race then it wouldnt be an issue. I personaly dont even think about race related issues until someone else brings it up. I remember in school there would always be a lunch table in the cafeteria where the majority of the black/hispanic/asian kids would sit. But it wasnt because the white kids were being racist and excluding them, it was because they were secluding themselves. This type of thing is what really keeps racism going. If people would just get over themselves and stop making it an issue it would be done with.

because "minoritys" still call racism the secound they get punished for a misconduct. Because blacks say they are a minority in schools where they are 73% of the student body. Because popular song lyrics allow any black guy to say ***.ger but if a black guy hears me saying it i get a mouth full even though i use the word in its actual meaning. Because when a black guy is fired for bein lazy racism is called but when a white guy is fired because of a company being afraid of there being too many white workers no one thinks twice because of it. so in the end why does racism still exist because the media and general public is far to involved in looking for cases of white on black crime to notice black on white crime.
and just another note because i cant even say ***.ger with out it looking like ******. even though ***.ger means an uneducated person, regardless of race or creed. shakespear used it and it only became racist because the black guy said it should be considered racist

It existed before Time and it will exist many millenniums hence.
It is the fact of life. Why? Humans have this inherent in them - that is, to say ".....I am better than you......."
Birds and bees do it too. Just watch them. Animals? Yup, they do it. It is inherent in all living things. Humans are no exception.
Variety is the spice of life.
Racism - I do not condone it. It is evil because we, as humans, have sixth sense. We should know better. We are not birds or bees or animals. But, we behave like one and it has to be taken in stride.
I see redeeming quality in EVERY person. It all starts with generalization and goes from there. You have heard this before: ".........Such and such is like so and so.........". Religion is the greatest culprit to preach segregation. Take our churches, synagogues, mosques, temples - just listen to them preaching from the pulpit - in the name of God, in the name of loving God, they talk about only one thing: Their God is better than others. There is an underlying message in all this. Racism. It is subconsciously inculcated into you.
Take it, lump it and move on. You can do your part by not looking at others with contempt because they do not belong to your "clan".
I try my level best to practise it. I could err in my ways sometimes but I correct myself often because I am after all human and I am the product of this ignorance that is constantly being bombarded at me.

Because diversity sucks and we all need to segregate and go back where we came from.
Those poor multiracial people will just have to live on a barge and float!!!
Honestly though, stupidity. I mean, there are far better things to hate than other races. Like McDonald's for example.

Couple reasons:
1. The media still potrays groups in stereotypical ways.
2. Minority groups keep bringing it up and "playing the race card" to get ahead.
3. People are ignorant.
