Confront them and tell them how it’s affecting you.
In such cases (parents) it’s difficult for one person to compromise, but when you explain to them your perspective they as parents will at least try to get into a mutual compromise.

Of course it is normal for parents to argue. If they really love each other they will stick it through. It seems like they do after all they have been through most likely they are doing it for the better. Are you the only child at home? You should be glad that they are just arguing and not anything to harm each other. My advice to you is let them know how you feel about it, they will and should understand that they should respect you of your feelings because you are the younger one. If it continues to carry on confront them at that very moment. It will hurt them more than it will hurt you seeing and hearing them.

I hope that everything will get better. Keep God in your familys life he can help a whole lot.

No it's not normal, but you can't change your parents. It's sad that your parents don't realize what the arguing is doing to their family. Suggestions: Sit your parents down together, and tell them what it's doing to you. Let them know that this is not okay.
Ask them to seek counseling or some other alternative to the arguing. If you don't feel comfortable doing this, try posting a small sign in the areas that they are fighting in that says "My home is my sanctuary, don't turn it into a war zone, please." or "Child growing into an adult here, are you being a good influence?" Sometimes getting a little creative can get your point across. My heart goes out to you my dear.

...my parents just went thru a divorce about a month ago...they argued a few times a month...for that last few yrs...i was making me freakin' crazy...i love both my parents equally but i was actually just happy the divorce took place b/c i didnt want them to be together but miserable...im 16, and i have to say i took it pretty easy, considering this was the biggest shock of my life...i saw the signs for it but everyone in my family just couldnt believe it happened...now im not trying to scare u and make u think ur parents are going to get a divorce...u know it has nothing to do w/ u, adults just argue about silly stuff and sometimes they can work things out...but if not, dont ever blame urself...if u really want to talk to ur parents about what is going on...tell them and they should talk to u about it...but they should talk to u together...why together...because then one party, (like ur dad, or mom) might think that the other is trying to influence u into not loving the other parent...big freakin' mess that will be...both parents should express their problems together w/ u, that's if they want to...
i know it can be scary and ur very sad, but well, things happen, maybe for the better, you never know...i never in my life thought that my parents would get a divorce, no one did for that matter...but it happened...life just throws those damn curve balls at u and u have to deal w/ them...but u know what, i sure do hope everything goes well for u and ur family...=)
take care, and dont worry...

Some parents stay together only for the kids but if they r not happy the need counseling bc apparently there is some unresolved issues going on. And if it is affecting u to u need to be a part of their marriage counseling. Tell them how u feel they prbably r so caught up they don't even realize its hurting u!
Also pray bc God can solve all problems!!

it depends on what they are arguing about.if any husband/wife finds out that their spouse is cheating on them, they would fight.it would really hurt them inside to find that out.if they love you, they shouldn't really get a divorce because that will hurt you and they know that. you should tell them that it hurts you when they fight.tell them to stop fighting because that is making you tear apart and that you are incomplete without them.all parents would argue if they find out their spouse is cheating on them.husband and wife should share all their secrets.its better to get a divorce in this situation or things will automatically worsen .eventually, things will go out of control then.i don't know if this is about cheating but if it is that's my opinion.i hope its not about cheating.they have to give you child support if they get divorced.good luck!try making them a team again and stop them from falling apart.things can get worse.well, that's all for now.

My life, my childhood---! It never seemed to end, and I hardly remember going to sleep without hearing them arguing in the living room, especially my mother. So many ill effects of this on children, but the first thing to know is that you can't control what they do. Wish I could tell you things will improve, but all you can do is keep your life and emotions detached from their marital issues somehow (nearly impossible, of course.) Don't over-react to this atmosphere in your actions with others by being a "people-pleaser" and a "victim". You will be an adult, and you do not deserve to live a life of conflict, suffering, guilt, or fear---this situation is forced on you now, but it is not your fault and you must not suffer at the hands of others in the future---you can be in charge of your life then.

You didn't state your age, but don't concern yourself with their "adult" problems, even if they ask you to. It is too much of a burden for you to carry--you need all your energy and emotions to organize and fulfill your own life.

I feel for you and do understand the situation you have been going through. It is NOT good for parents to be battling each other in front of any child. What you MIGHT TRY....(I mean TRY) is when the two of them are together, tell them that their continued fighting affects you considerably and would they consider going together(the two of them) to get counseling. I really do not know what else you can do to remedy the situation.

I am not sure if it is normal but I went through the same thing. It just takes time for them to get over what happened. They will get over it. In the mean time ignore them. Turn on ur music or go somewhere. Dont let it stree u out cause it is not ur problem. They will get it resolved trust me. I been there.

It isn't your fight. Yes, it is normal for them to fight. Yes, you are kind of "stuck" in the middle. But your parents are going to do what they want to do when it comes to their marriage. The only thing you need to remember is that you are NOT to blame for whatever happens between them. You are not the cause of them breaking up if they do. So live your life. Don't "grow up" too fast because you think you have to. Let them deal with their problems and you live your life.

Instead of listening to them argue, do something else. Listen to the radio, read a book, go online and chat with your friends, just don't listen to them. If it gets worse, talk with your parents about it, I'm sure they will have a reason why. Just tell them how you feel. Good luck :)
