My fiancee hooked up with a girl, b4 our relationship became serious and he is 2 old 2 have believed what this girl said but she told him she couldn't get pregnant. She did. I told him he better be glad he didn't catch a disease, because if she lied about that then she will lie about anything. I told him he should have used protection. When she told him, he told her he didn't want 2 be with her, which he had told her time after time and she fell in love. he told her she was just a fling and she didn't want 2 believe it. He also told her 2 abort or put the baby up 4 adoption. He didn't hear from her 4 about 6 months and when he did he found out that she kept the baby. He wants 2 give up rights 2 this child. I told him he should also get a dna test because she isn't trustworthy. She didn't put his opinion into account and now she wants 2 threaten and try 2 milk him. It isn't right. What should we do?

Do you know what. Even though she lied and said she couldn't get pregnant. He has no right to give away his parental rights unless he wants to. A child needs his mom and dad not just a mom no matter what the situation. And you you should be the one to tell him to be a man about the life he created. If you don't that makes you less of a woman.

Get the DNA test. He might be the parent. That's the only way to find out.

In regards to whether a man should be able to give up his rights just because a woman doesn't abort her child or put it up for adoption, is absurd. Your fiancee should have thought of the consequences before he engaged in premarital sex.

As a woman, it seems odd that you're asking this question. What if you were placed in this situation. What if your fiancee made you pregnant and decided to leave you? Maybe your first step would be to abort but what if you decided to have that child, would you want him not to take responsibility?

Definitely he should get a DNA test.

But if he is the father he has financial responsibilities to the child.

After all it doesnt sound like he was forced to have sex with this woman, and the child should not have to suffer.
