You can swim on your period... and you don't have to use a tampon... the water stops it... but just be sure you change after you are done swimming... how do you think 12 -15 year olds who are on swimming teams swim when they are dealing with that time of the month...

You can swim when your on your period. Just make sure you are wearing a tampon. But for some people, they don't swim when they are on their period because maybe the water is making their stomach weird or they get cramps when they swim. So basically it depends on the person if she wants to swim when she's on her period.

You certainly can. Use a tampon - but please don't go in without one, the water does NOT stop the bleeding. 12-15 year olds can use tampons - I used one when I was 12 - it hurts a little the first time, but after that it's easy. You won't get attacked by Sharks (unless you're in Australia and your chances of getting attacked are no more than anyone else); you won't sink; and the tampon will not fall out. Don't listen to the people that said those things - they don't know what they're talking about!!!

because when the blood comes out, it ruins the pool for others and its extremely disgusting! u could swim on ur period, but make sure u wear a tampon before jump into the pool!

you need to wear a tampon. your flow will lighten a lot in cold water tho just so you kno so if its light already you might be ok with out anything. just be careful

if you wear a tampon then you can swim but i wouldn`t reccomend it.

But, you should wear a brand new tampon, no other kind of protection...
