We have to work together, but he thinks he's the only perfect guy in the whole universe, he's shovinistic, arrogant and an egoist, really an egocentric person. He usually makes fun of other people who work with us. I really don't know how to handle this. I can't work with him normally 'cause I don't know how to react on his behaviour. Any tips or advice??

Damn thats unfortunate, perhaps discuss his attitude with your coworkers and see if you can together come up with some strategy by which you can handle this guy in a work setting so that your all more comfortable.

Well it sounds like he has typical symptoms of someone who has low self-esteem.
I would ignore them as much as possible, but as you have to work with them, every time they say something you find insulting, either to you or someone else, you should turn to this person and say something like:
'I find your opinion quite unacceptable and don't want to hear that again. It makes me wonder why you have to criticise everyone else all the time? Perhaps it's just so you can feel good? A better way would be to compliment people, that way you both feel good'
Otherwise just start reporting this guy to the boss!
Anyway, hope that gives you some ideas.
Good luck!

OMG I think I work with his twin!

I know how difficult this is.

I ignore this guy as much as possible and try not to speak with him.

If he is harassing you, you should speak to your supervisor. Otherwise just try to ignore him. That's what I do.
