Ugh!! yes cramps are discouraging indeed! Taking tylenol can be helpful. Lying down with a heating pad or hot water bottle are helpful. Having a loved one rub your back can also help. Midol or other over the counter measures to help with cramping can be helpful, but most importantly this is a time for you to really take care of yourself. Take a nap, watch a TV program to help distract you from the discomfort, drink lots of water and eat healthy are all things that can help, plus reassuring yourself that this is temporary and that you will feel better tomorrow is helpful as well. Personally, my choice is the loved one rubbing my back or going and having a pedicure/manicure. Anything that makes another part of my body feel better..
Hope this helped.

Just lay down with a heating pad and relax for a while. If you say you took the tylenol, that should also start helping soon. Sorry, that's all the help i've got! Good luck!

Tylenol Sux. You need advil or anything with ibuprofen. it's an anti inflamatory. and is safer on your tummy and kidneys than tylenol. if it's really bad try midol. or take a hot bath, heating pad on the tummy works great!!!!! drinking hot tea, coffee, or cocoa helps too. i get bad cramps too so i feel your pain. hope ya feel better hun!!! :)

the best thing to do is get in a hot shower, lay down in the tub and let the hot shower water hit your tummy, this works really well for more instant relief.
i also have really bad cramps. my heating pad is my best friend during this time of the month. i have a really big one that wraps almost all the way around me, so it gets my lower stomach and my lower back.
drink lots of water too.

Get a heating pad and relax. If you want you can go in a nice warm bath. Next time before you expect your period exercises, that will relieve cramps.

Try midol. Most athletic women actually report to having less monthly cramps. Perhaps try adding more physical activities in your lifestyle?
