I have sony viao pcv rs310 series. after that electricity problem in Queens area. My network stopped working. After i connect my ethrnet cable to it's port it says, network cable unplugged. i couldn't connect to the internet at all. I bought a new d-lnk lan card, installed but still the same. I reinstall the window. it's still the same. The ethernet cable works with other computer. the ethernet port lead light stays stable, it doesn't blink like usual. i am using verison dsl modem. pease help me

The first place to check is your modem. Chances are that it's the problem.

It looks like your lan card has been automatically disable. Go back to Click Start, Click connect to - then show all connections. From the dialog box. Find the lan card which has a red cross on it, right click Enable. After that try restart your browser.

Try resetting your modem (power on/power off) again.

Sometimes with computers you have to try things more than once in order to get them to work.

It means that it cannot find an internet connection. Make sure that your router is letting your computer on.
