Last night I felt like I had arthritis in my hips & legs. They weren't like normal cramps. I literally could not walk or stand w/out feeling as though my legs would give out. It went away once I woke up this morning. What was that about?

sounds like what i have been going through.. hurts to move.. can barely get out of bed, and once ya do it hurts too much to actually stand and you think you're gonna fall over, right? so my doctor told me that it was normal and fine... most likely it is just the baby sitting on a nerve and it's causing the pain.. it could also be from the release of oxytocin that is stretching your joints out more and more (especially during these last few weeks)... you can try to take tylenol to help with pain (really didn't work for me), i usually just take a warm bath before bed... sleep on your side with pillow between your knees and that helps some... it is still painful when you get up though.. just kinda sit on the edge of your bed a minute and then hold on to something (so you don't fall like i did) until you get your legs moving properly! hope this all helps. you're almost done.. then it will be over...

Your like me! i'm 36.6wks and am relating to the comparable, each and every person tells me i'm small (purely won 19lbs so far, i'm 5'10") yet its because you have have been given an prolonged torso so which you have different room to hold a toddler! So sure, your son would be "established" length (reason there is extremely no established length, lol) as long as you're measuring properly and his ultrasounds are wellness you're interior the sparkling! good success along with your being pregnant!

The baby is dropping into the birth canal. Don't be alarmed this is normal. I used to get up every morning and have to stand there until the baby moved for me to get feeling back in my hips and thighs. It is just pressure from the baby he/she is sitting on your sciatic nerve. Try to lay in different positions before getting up there may be a position the baby likes alot and this is causing the pressure.

I don't know how true this is but I heard that your pelvis area starts to widen when delivery is near. Maybe the shift of the baby and the weight put more stress on your hips and legs. I know mine ached too.

Not sure what that is all about. I never had those symptoms while pregnant and i thought i had EVERYTHING! I would really call the DR. and explain your situation. Laying down probably helped your hips and legs.

I felt like that in the last month or so of pregnancy. My doctor said it was pressure on my pelvis. Obviously if it is causing you major concern or pain you should call your doctor just to be safe. They don't mind answering questions ! Good luck to you and baby !

It could be all that extra weight you are carrying. Or baby the baby was hitting a nerve. Just be sure to keep your doctor informed.

Seems like you may be starting labor...I had my last two sons on my syatic nerve and my legs would go numb and my back would ache....it depends where the baby is laying...could be just hitting that "last nerve" early...GOOD LUCK!!

It's nothing to be too worried about, during pregnancy your body produces a hormone called Relaxin that allows joints to relax so that during labor your pelvic bone can open up and you don't get hurt, sometimes it affects other joints and makes them feel weak and too "relaxed"
