If he shows signs that he doesn't enjoy flirting, or that he feels uncomfortable, try cutting back.
If you flirt for long enough, he may ask you out. ;)

Yeah I liked this kid and he liked me and we constantly flirted like crazy like making up nicknames for each other and doing crazy stuff.
