I personally like the funny cards . There is so much seriousness in this world, that we all need a little laughter in our lives. Just keep it clean humor. I like Maxine cards. She is so funny and spunky. I have a small collection of her items. But I would say humor.

A funny card. I am not in a relationship right now, so it would be odd to me to receive a romantic one out of the blue. :) OK, so even in a relationship, I'd much rather have a card that makes me laugh rather than one that is all mooshy. Occasionally, those are nice, but why not do a funny card with a romantic note? That way, you have the best of both worlds.

I'm a guy and I'd rather receive a ROMANTIC card from my wife than a funny one. I can get humor all day from friends, the internet, and TV. But to receive something that says "I love you because...." - That means something, and it's very rare. I take that stuff to heart, then put it in my shoebox to keep forever.

It depends on the occasion. If it's for a birthday, or any holiday other than Valentine's Day, I'd rather have a funny card. A more serious holiday, romance is nice. If I got a card at all, I'd be ecstatic!

Neither. $4 for a piece of paper??? Plus, most of the romance ones are sappy and the humor ones are too predictable.

Come on, when we see the chimp wearing a party hat on the front we know the inside will say something about being a party animal...

Actually, funny and romantic. It allows us to get past our own fears when we use comedy and we can express ourselves without fear. Remember, when we say something although we may apologize, we did mean it. This applies to romance too.

Funny- I think the romantic need to be a personal note, not a "Hallmark" quote.
