I highly recommend one of the lotions with light self-tanner which are now on the market. They are amazing! You apply them just like your regular moisturizer each day, and after just a day or two you will see a change. It will not be streaky, and it's pretty subtle. As long as you keep using the product, the fake tan will remain. Once you stop, it will last a day or two before fading.
This is a great solution for you if you don't want to undergo the trouble, expense and risk of a salon or spray fake tan.
Personally, I favor Dove Energy Glow. I started using it, and people at work kept telling me I looked so good, but they couldn't figure out why. One person asked if I had been on vacation. You can get it at any drugstore.
I've also tried the Jergen's version, but I strongly prefer Dove.
Hope that helps.

The sprays or lotions can have a different effect depending on the original skin colour. My suggestion is to try a little in a hidden part of your body then see if you like the result or not.
It does less harm to the skin than the sun or UV rays. They have a product that does a chemical reaction with your skin and makes it darker. That effect will be going away as the skin is renewed, so the time it lasts depends on how often you shower, for example. Usually you have to keep using it at least once a week, after the shower, in order to maintain the "tan".
Also after the shower, better to let the skin dry naturally than to rub a towel too hard as that takes away the "ink".
At first you should wear it everyday but once you have the right colour, then only once a week to maintain it. So I don't think it is that expensive as a bottle lasts quite a while, specially after you have the right colour and only need to maintain it.
Just be sure you spread it all very well and don't leave too much on a certain area or that area will get darker than the rest. My trick is to spread it all until it gets to totally absorbed by the skin and one area at a time, say one leg, then the other, etc. If by chance you notice some darker spots like near the feet or so, you can always disguise them with a bit of cotton wet by a little of ethilic alcohol. But be careful and use it only on the darker spot or else if you move forward it will take away the tan and leave you a "white spot" instead!
I think it is worth it. I use it quite often and am very happy with the results! :-)

My son is a very fair person and had the spray done. He wanted to be tan and the lotions that say they tan don't work "fast enough" for him. So, the lessons we learned are 1. you must exfoliate very good before you go to the spray bed, 2. you need to lightly lotion your knees, have it between your fingers, your knuckles and toes, elbows, etc. any place that you don't want too dark; 3. you need to keep your tan hydrated everyday with loads of lotion otherwise it won't last more than 3 or 4 days. If you take good care of it, it might last up to a week.
It is a lot of money to be spending on this stuff that is this much work. I'd go for the lotion out of the grocery store that tans over time.

I'm a fairly pale person also. If I could afford to do it, I would. My Aunt did and her tan lasted for a couple of months. She didn't come out orange or anything. She looked great!! It's not that expensive. I think she paid $40. But she thinks it's worth it. Unfortunately, I would have to drive one hour to fo to the place that does it up here. I live in Upper Michigan, everything is a drive.

For easy pores and skin you are able to commence slow and build up. they are going to probable positioned you in for barley any time and them artwork the time up over here few weeks, because of the fact of which you wont see outcomes as rapidly as your persons. i think of that I could handle the disadvantages of tanning beds and the long term outcomes of this on your pores and skin. The solar is undesirable adequate yet to truly prepare dinner your self in a tanning mattress, properly you have considered the outcomes on women human beings of their later years who've spent way too plenty time interior the solar or tanning, they're wrinkled and their pores and skin seems and looks like leather-based. in case you're unhappy approximately your paleness then purchase a outstanding self tanner or do the Mystic tanning, the two way they're the two greater perfect for you. good success!

i don't think you should go to a tanning salon! some people come out orange! the best thing would probably be to put some tanning oil on and either go to the beach or layout by the pool

I'm also really pale. I went to a tanning salon and got a spray tan, it smelled bad and wasn't even on my legs and only lasted for a few days. I went to wal-mart and saw LOREAL Sublime Glow and tried it out. it's great. it doesn't smell bad, and they make it for fair skin and it looks really natural. definately try it!
