I contracted a spyware online that takes over my computer.
I now get popups and scrolling pop-ups for a product "ANTISPYWARE SOLDIER."

It changes my homepage, takes over yahoo's search engine and renders it useless by not letting me do anything outside of clicking on their pop-up ad. I have used windows "system restore." - It helps the problem for a day-or-so.

I've run "Windows Defender" and Lavasoft "Ad-Aware" in no particular order. - Little if any results. I "System restored" from numerous points extending back to June, 06. I have a linksys router and operate from "Windows XP."

ANY and ALL help GREATLY appreciated!

Thanks in advance,
thom

I would try www.trendmicro.com

they offer a free online virus scan and it alos check for spyware. I have been happy with this and it has gotten rid of many thing other programs would not. just go to the home section and the scanner should be there.

Well, never surf porn ever again!

And if you have any tech-savvy friend, rope him/her to reprogramme the computer.
