I actually saw one around $50, but the quality [both sound & aesthetics] almost made my iPod scream in horror from inside my bag. I wouldn't recommend it - even if you don't take music seriously, I doubt you can get anything satisfying in that price range. Better to go for something more expensive but decent, because it will be more effective in the long run.

Yeah sure, good luck with that. Anything that cheap wouldn't work or would break. There are wires you can use to connect your ipod to stereo speakers. For $100 you can get good bose speakers or the ihome.

I would say Best Buy. Their employees are generally pretty knowledgeable about technology. But the best thing to do would be to research it online, find which one you want, and see if a store like Costco sells it, because Costco has a lifetime warranty on their products.

I would splurge and go for the bose docking system, its the only one with sound quality worth listening to.
