Just because you have a soulmate, it doesn't mean that you will stop being sexually attracted to someone else. Sometimes that attraction is acted upon.
You may already know that when two people are initially attracted to one another it's very exciting. That height of excitement isn't sustained so the pair either splits up or continues to develop as a couple.
For some couples that is enough. One or both may be tempted from time to time to have an affair but they don't act on it. Sometimes one or both of them do.
They may work with someone they are attracted to but never acted upon it. Then all of a sudden they have a fight with their "soulmate", and decide to go out for a drink to get even and it leads to intimacy. Does that mean they don't love their soulmate anymore? Not necessarily. The may have their fun but still remain with their primary.
Perhaps their soulmate becomes ill and incapable of sex. Maybe they are bored. It could be that they have a need to prove to themselves that they are still attractive. Some people have fetishes, unusual sexual desires that they don't want to tell their soulmate about and so have them fulfilled elsewhere. Maybe they married for appearance and have same sex encounters on the outside. Some people keep sex and love separate in their minds. They don't see sex for sex's sake as cheating. And sometimes they fall in love with someone new but for their own reasons elect to stay with their soulmate.
I'm sure I just touched a few of the reasons people have sex with someone other than the person they consider their soulmate. Remember, we are human.

people have affairs because they may be bored with the sex life with their spouse, so they tend to look else where. And they claimed their spouse is the best soulmate because they only feel the way the feel with their spouse that's why they got married in the first place, they don't feel the same way towards anyone else.

Adam try this fruit, it taste great.
Isn't that the tree he told us not to eat from?
So what, I wanted to try it.
But we're not supposed to eat from that tree.
Forget him, Adam, try this, now.
And Woman controlled the future of MAN.
Affairs are caused when men, and women, become too comfortable with each other, and wish to try something new. It usually a curse of man that once he has been trapped by a woman, she let's herself go; stops doing all the things that made his heart skip a beat; stops dressing to reflect how she feel about him, etc.
Men on the other hand, have a natural urge to sow their seed, it is part of NATURE; it has nothing to do with his genes, or his attitude. Males of all species must sow their seed. Women will never understand why, because it just IS!
If people cheat on each other, it because they are predisposed to do so, since the Dawn of Time;
Men don't really change, and if they do, it's slowly. Women on the other hand seem to deteriorate over night.
There is and will always be a 6:1 ratio of women to men on this world, hence the need for women to hold onto one man. Sorry!
I'm single and will stay that way thanks, and I mean no disrespect, but women are women's own worst enemy. You cause your spouse and soul mate to wander for the other 5 soul mates he has out there. If you want to keep him, SHOW HIM YOU WANT TO KEEP HIM. QUIT THE ARGUING, AND TEMPER TANTRUMS, AND STUPID BEHAVIOR. Be the soul mate you’re supposed to be, not just the cast off of a soul mate.

Forgiving ability accepting. It does no longer sound like you've really forgiven him. more effective skill to you in case you could forgive because i recognize that i could no longer - no count number what. yet because you've made that selection you should settle for what he has carried out and let that's the previous because you could't substitute it now. in case you hit upon that you could't let it bypass, your relationship will wade through more effective than it already has and also you may evaluate counseling or splitting up. He disrespected you for a lengthy time period, you've a large type of self-rebuilding to do. concentration on that. best of success.

Because all their feelings/emotions/needs aren't being met but so instead of trying to explain that to their boyfriend/girlfriend/spouse they find someone who will meet some of their needs while letting their spouse or whoever meet their other needs

because most affairs aren't about finding a soulmate, they are about finding a warm body to have sex with that isn't their normal partner.

Because they find out the grass was not greener on the other side. The person they cheated with was just as selfish and uncaring as they were.

They are taking their wives/husbands for granted. So after fooling around, they still have a place to go back to recharge.
