It depends what country in Europe you're from. A 34 in Italy and France is a size 0 in America; A 34 in England and Germany is a size 2. Americans sizes tend to run much larger than European sizes so don't go by the standard size conversions.

You are probably a 2. Different clothing lines run bigger or smaller, so you might be a 0 or 1 at the Gap or Old Navy, while you might be a 4 at H&M.
