I am totally in love with the name Bryant, but my husband thinks everyone will think his name is Bryan and end up calling him that. I don’t want my son to have to go life saying my name is Bryant...with a “T”. What do you think? I am thinking maybe Bryant would make a better middle name. If you think it would make a better middle name than first name, what first name would you put with it?

I think Bryant is good for a first name. My name is Randi and people call me Brandi so I have to say either Randi with an R or Randi with an I and when I meet people I have to repeat my name 2-3 times but it hasn't put a drain on my life. It's not that big of a deal and I love my name. I say go with it.

Personally, I don't like it. It sounds made up and quite frankly I think it's a bit cheesy. It sounds more like a last name then a first name of a little boy. i.e. Arthur Bryant, Lane Bryant, well you get the picture..

If you are deadset on it though, please use it as a middle name. Here are some first names I like to go along with it:

Daniel Bryant
Oliver Bryant
Jonah Bryant
Reese Bryant

I like the name and think it would be fine as a first or middle name. I do think if you use it as a first name the "t" might get left out like your husband said.

Jordan Bryant
Jacob Bryant
Cole Bryant
Anthony Bryant
Deacon Bryant
Andrew Bryant
Nathan Bryant
Dean Bryant
Owen Bryant
Evan Bryant

Good luck!!

Everytime I hear that name I think of Bryant Gumble from tv..I don't care for him..maybe as a middle name..I don't know how many syllables your last name is (I always name my children, names I like, but have the same syllables as my last name, rolls off the tongue better..) but since Bryant is 2 syllables, the first name should be at least 2, unless your last name is one, then it can be one..example..Mich ael Dav id Black (one of my kids teachers long ago) 2 syllables, 2 syllables and 1..it sounds harder than it is..

I have a brother in law named Bryant and yes everyone call him Bryan. But all his little gf love it (he's 17) It's such a wonderful name.

I'm a girl and my name is Murray. Thats right just like the lawn mower. And everybody calls me Mary or Murphy or Marie. But I still love my name.

i think bryant is a wonderful name. if people stat calling him bryan just correct them and eventually it will stick. if you want it as a middle name i would think of a name that flows. like alexander bryant, or jonhathan bryant. think of something unique.

I love these as boy names. Depending on what your last name is and if it end in -er, any of these name with work. I don't usually like hearing two names ending in -er in a full name situation. a.e. Asher Bryant Miller ..... But its all preference. Hope you like my suggestions! Asher Daniel will be my boy's name :) Also, I love when women use their maiden name as one of the baby's names, like Smith, Miller, Mills, etc. It honors her roots as well :)

Asher, Carsyn, Caleb, Caden, Gabe, Gage, Hayden, Jaxon, Justin, Keagan, Macon, Miller, Morgan, Nolan, Parker, Preston, Quinn, Smith, Tate, Vance, Warner, Walker, Xander

Congratulations!
