The republicans have the gun-nuts, the racists, the Saudis, the Chinese, and the rabid evangelicals, while the Democrats have the green-extremists, the animal-rights extremists, the gay extremists, the feminist extremists, greedy lawyers (yuck), the Jewish bankers and hollyweird!
It would be so nice if we could just kick all of the damn lobbyists the hell out of Washington so our elected reps could just govern according to their now-forgotten constituency!

Concidering the latest report states there are 66 lobbyists per senate / congress official, yeah, I would say there is a pollution problem...But not all lobbyists are "bad" and are fighting for help from the government on worthwhile issues...One of the problems is we don't hear about the worthwhile issues...

The Republicans DON"T have the racists, and the Democrats had the Chinese too. The racists always insist that our government is a "zionist occupational government," regardless of which party is in power. But yes, I agree that both parties are controlled by special interest groups. Even the "third parties" are controlled by special interest groups.

Yes. I am an avid Liberal Democrat and I think that both parties have been corrupted by special interests that prevent them from working for the rights of the people they were elected to represent.

We need to start the movement to have people look into a third party at the very least. The younger generation, however, will be more accepting of that.
