In light of the recent terrorist attact, temporary bans on certain products have been instilled for security measures in airplanes. Products such as toothpaste, mouthwash, hair gel, bottled water, cell phones, cameras, electric razars, lotions, laptops, ipods, body wash, shampoos, etc.. If these bans turned permanent, would it affect your decision to travel by plane?

No in my opinion the sacrifice of a few luxury's or convinces are a small price to pay for the security of our nation and our airlines.

I travel by plane a lot. (Commercial airplanes, I mean. I travel on light planes almost daily)

I never travel by plane if I have an alternative. If it's less than 800 km (or 500 mi) i prefer to drive, and I do.

My folks and most of my friends live 2000 km (1250 mi) from where I live. I also used to have a job where I spent a lot of time on the road (or rather, in the air).

So would I decide not to fly? I can't. I have to travel, and to fly is often the only way. It has to get a lot worse then this before I move back to my friends and decide that it's not worth it anymore.

To be or not to be, and so to fly or not to fly! Interesting!
But how else one can travel in the present era?
The restrictions imposed may be relaxed in due course but these essential steps taken need not inconvenience the travellers once they get used to the fact that they cannot hand-carry anything except their travel documents and some essential things such as prescription drugs. But this will entail added responsibility to the airlines as well as the airport authorities as they have to ensure that the passenger needs are satisfied once they have checked in. Maybe, in due course, this will result in additional charges to passengers too. It is only a matter of time travelling public will get used to these security measures which are in place to ensure their own safety!

Last year was and will be the last time I will travel by plane. It is a big pain in the neck and I dont feel safe on it anymore. For short distances I will take Greyhound and longer the train- both of which you get to see the country a lot more from.

Fly! In my opion i think if these security steps are needed now than they should be made permanent becasue the threat is not going away. Sure i wont really like having to wait a few extra hours at the airport but i value my life much more than those few hours and if it keeps me and hundreds of people safer im all for it.

Overreactions by American security stopped me from flying long ago. Nor does it really help that the airlines themselves are trying to squeeze every dime from passengers by cutting every service and every square inch of space passengers are allowed that they can get away with.

When I need to go somewhere on vacation, I take the train. It may not be anywhere near as fast (about the same speed as driving, really), but it's WAY more comfortable and WAY less intrusive.

It matters if your going from the U.S. to the U.K or (Visa Versa ). Most flights were cancelled. But as long as you don't have liquides or gels your fine. Call the airline before and get information about the flight. AND BY FAR GET THERE EARLY AT LEAST THREE HOURS. And ti finally to answer the question yes I would if I needed to or if the ticket is not refundable.

Fly. Just go to Walmart, Target, etc to pick up those items you need for toiletries. However, just put it in you suitcase.
