Not that i am willing to do this stuff....knowing that the internet is dangerous and filled with people who can lie about their idenity. Alot can happen if two people meet in person tho they dated over the net. i prefer the real stuff...holding hands, kissing, hugging, ect in person...over the internet its lame-o.
So, tell me what you think!

i think on line dateing should be used as a last resort you should try to find people in your area to date because sometimes when you go and meet people from the internet in person they are not the same or they send fake pics and they are really this freaky 56 year old man or something

Meeting someone off the net CAN be a little dangerous, but if you do it right, it can work out for the best. Don't just meet them without ever seeing them (webcam) and talking to them on the phone a few times, to get a better idea of what they are like. When you do finally meet someone, it is probably a good idea to either meet in a public area or take a friend with you.

I met my gf on the internet and she lived a little over 500 miles away. She decided to move here and now we've been together over 2 years and I couldn't be happier.

Now a days, unless your a bar hopper, there really is no good way to meet people. The key word there is "meet". I personally don't believe in "dating" anyone until we've met and gone out a few times. If I meet someone online and talk with them for a while and we decide to go out some night I reserve judgement on them until after that night. Saying you won't date someone you met on line is closing a door on a oppertunity.

Of course, I can bench press a buick. I don't have to worry about my date over powering me in a back alley. However, if you're meeting someone for the first time and choose a place like that well... that's just retarded.

I met my boyfriend off the web and we were at the same time for over a three hundred and sixty 5 days now! i don'tchronic so we met contained in the substantial the front of a subway station the position it replaced into very busy. We had dinner at a eating position and then went to a pub... all public places. i could advise she would not get a journey from him and keep on with such issues as dinner or espresso in public places for the first assembly merely in case.

I met my husband dating on-line. I was a single mother, I tried to meet people through church and at work was not an option as I refuse to mix dating and work for good reasons. I didn't really know anyone in my area to allow me to meet others and while I had tried a couple of other approaches, nothing worked. I spoke to my husband on the phone for several weeks before we agreed to meet in a public place. We also dated for several months before I allowed him to meet my daughter. We have been married for almost six months now.

Internet is just another way to meet people. You think meeting men at the bar is safer? A friend of mine met her husband online. It does happen, but be very careful. You don't "DATE" on internet, you just get to know someone a bit, then meet to see how real they are (not at a dark alley of course).

A few horror stories I have heard...
One who claimed to love to go hiking, biking, play golf...she was in a wheel chair.
another claiming to be full figured. Turned out to be morbidly obese....
Another...had 4 kids...no problem. kids....ages were 18, 17 (separated by 10 months), 8 and 2. Problem? Woman was 32 (the teenagers were biologically hers.) I

But, another I spoke to met his wife via the Internet....so I guess it works form some!

I think it's ok if you do it in a responsible way. My brother met his girl on line playing yahoo pool. They are now married and have a baby girl. I just don't really see a different in meeting someone on line then going out and meeting someone at a bar.
