Go to Tools -> Options, click on the File Types tab, click Select All and press Ok.
*Note, this works in the Windows version so I assume it'll work on the Mac version too*

How do you even have media player, I didn't think they had an OS 9 version of it. Well I think you can probably go to prefrences on either program and see what it says or just make an alias on your desktop for media player and always drag the files onto it to open them instead of double clicking. You also could get rid of Qucktime, but I wouldn't recomend that.

First, go to control panel, then click add or remove programs. Now click "Set program access and defaults" and then click the "custom" bubble. Now open it up and go down to "set default media player" and do the "window media player" button.
