of light blood. I think it may have to do with my mucus plug, and I feel completely fine today. Should I worry?

No, this just means that your body is getting ready for labor! Congratulations! You should check with your doctor anyway, just to be sure that everything is o.k.

It is called "bloody show" Nice name eh? It means that your body is gearing up. Most likely you have started to dilate and/or thin out (efface)
When the plug starts to come out it may or may not have blood with it. If there is a tinge of blood with it then it is a great sing that labor and delivery are not too far off.
Now keep in mind that the blood might be from an internal exam performed by your dr. or midwife. Sometimes that can cause a small spot of blood. But if you have not had an exam then it is "bloody show"
Congrats to you and good luck with your delivery.

Don't worry. Your fine. If it was your mucus plug it is ok because at 37 weeks you are still considered full term. Also it doesn't mean that you will go into labor right away. If your worried though call your doctor, which you should do anyway.

If there's no cramping or contractions that are going along with it, I wouldn't worry too much, but I would still contact your OB/GYN just to be on the safe side. You are at the end of your pregnancy, so the mucus plug would be a good guess, but I've never had mine come out, so I couldn't tell you what it looks like! Sorry!

As long as it was blood and not water, there shouldn't be any worry. Many women loose their mucous plug several days if not weeks before actually giving birth. The blood spot could also of been caused by a vaginal exam, or sex. Keep monitoring your discharge. If you think there is water leaking, or you are bleeding like a period see your midwife or doctor immediately. Otherwise, it's possible that you are just preparing for the birth of your baby.

Good luck

Don't worry but make sure the bag is packed. Yes it could be that your mucus plug is about to go or it could be that you are dialating. That happend with my first child and I would say I was in active labor within 9 hrs or so. If you start to feel crampy or sickish that could be a sign that labor is about to start. Good luck and CONGRATS

Don't worry, but if you think that there is anything to worry about at any stage, call the maternity ward straight away. They will be better able to answer your questions, and don't worry about asking them things you aren't sure you should ask- they will not judge you in anyway, and chances are, will have heard every type of question you can think of, and plenty that you can't think of.
Good luck for the birth and congratulations! It's great being a mommy!

Most likely you're starting to get ready to go into labor...just watch for the mucus plug...cause you need to let the doctor know when that goes..cause to prevent infection...you need to have the baby within 12 hours or so..of losing that!! GOOD luck!!!

I wouldn't worry. Maybe get excited but not worry. Your baby will come when its ready and this is a sign that within the next few days your baby will be here. Most children born after 36 weeks are more than OK. Yay for you.

i recognize it sounds grouse yet scent it. I had my mebranes rupture at 29 weeks and had to bypass to the ER and then replaced into on mattress relax reason it will be very risky. Pee smells, nicely, like pee. Amniotic fluid on the different had smells sweet and under no circumstances something like pee and it truly is going to be clean. if that's the case you want to get to the clinical institution quickly. reliable success on your new infant.
