hi, i thinking of buying a cellphone in Japan and use it in singapore.can my simcard and service provider singtel , M1 or starhub support it. must it be 3G?

You would need to decode it first as those phones are made to work only with their original providers and networks.

U'll need firt to unlocked the vodafone cellphone!! but if it comes from Japan am not sure..cause their technology is somehow different and it might not work in ur country...
that has happen to some friends of mine...they bought a phone in Japan and when they wanted to connect it it was imposible...the carrier said quote"This is a different technology and it is not supported by ours"

I shop from uk and u . s . a . on ebay, not at all from japan because of the fact 8/10 situations, the article in hand isn't stable yet a forgery basically verify the comments on products they bought and the helpful comments on the business enterprise and it somewhat is down on your judgement

Most cellphone sold in Japan are "SIM locked".
You can't change the card. need to find any "Unlock" company. It will be out of carrier's and maker's support though.
Buy one in UK. You will be able to change the card.

yes you can use a cell phone anyplace they have toweres reguardless of ware you buy it at
