Different search engines have different information bases to search; this I've learned from not getting what I want from one & finding it with another.

Both sites have differnt ways that they do searches, they might look for meta tags or for the first real word content, there are many ways for searches to be carried out and that is why if you are looking for something sometimes going to multiple search engines can give you the answer you want.

search results are based on the algorithm used to write the search engine... yahoo and google r two differnet search engines... hence results also vary

they are completely different search engines with different indexes, goals, priorities, etc.
