It's not even remotely close to the same situation. First, Israel is not targeting Lebanon, they are targeting a terrorist group that happens to be making Lebanon their home. Second, Israel is making a point to try and NOT hit civilians, but it is a war and it cannot be perfect all the time. And finally, Israel has had hundreds of deaths on their side, too. That analogy is completely irrelevant and illogical.

The better question is when will the UN actually enforce all of the resolutions they have passed regarding the disassembling of Hezbollah and other terrorist groups? Specifically UN resolution 1559?
Israel is only protecting itself from attacks inside its own borders. If Hezbollah had not crossed the border in the first place none of this would be happening!

it is complicated to understand what Mr. Obama will do, and that i do not comprehend if he even has a clue what he might want to do. i ought to agree that there have been some abuses with the aid of Israel, yet i may also understand why they have surpassed off. The Arab states, for the most area, have at one time or yet another everyday the destruction of Israel and the killing or deportation of the Jewish human beings. for my area the Palestinians were to blame of far worse and far extra planned excesses adversarial to the Israelis. might want to Obama decide on to help the perception of a no-fly zone over any area of Israel he might want to anticipate serious consequences, no longer the least of which could be the shortcoming of help with the aid of maximum American Jews.

Not really. I don't see Israelis rounding up millions of Lebanese civilians and herding them into concentration camps.
And Israel has already offered to pay (or reimburse) Lebanese civilians who were forced to evacuate southern Lebanon. So the UN really doesn't need to get involved.

Could happen but don't think it should. After all Hezbollah is in Lebanon and they started this one. Maybe Lebanon should collect from Hezbollah and stop giving them a place to hide.
