I have records going back only three years, but I need to go back seven years. Who do I contact at the IRS and what is the phone number? Child support is hounding me for arrears, but I know I am current, and I need to prove it to them. They recently did a change of venue, and it seems that their records did not transfer properly.

The website is www.irs.gov
Phone #-1-800-829-1040 (automated, you'll be on hold for at least an hour)
If you want transcripts, the best ways are either fill out a form 4506-T or you can have a preparer, accountant, CPA, or EA fill out a form 8821 with their CAF # (if they don't know what a CAF # is, don't use them!) and request it for you. They can call the Practitioner Priorty Line and get them usually within an hour.
