Hey do any of you know of any other Christian heavy metal besides Norma Jean, Mortal Treason, and Showbread?

Demon Hunter (They are awesome)
Zao (they kind of broke up)
Project 86 kind of does metal.
Flyleaf (female screamer that's actually good)
There are so many groups I can't think of right off the bat.

What I would most recommend is to locate a Solid State compilation. I'm sure you can find it at amazon. You may even be able to find them at your Christian Book Store (I can find them at one of my CBS but not the others). They are the music label that puts out the screamo (mortal treason and Norma Jean fit into this category) music. In fact the two compilations I have include Norma Jean. You can even check out their website which I believe is solidstate.com. The good thing is the compilations have about 13 songs on them and cost around 6 dollars which is pretty good. Also, they sometimes include a DVD with music videos and live concert footage which is always a bonus.

Also, there is a magazine that I get at Barnes and Noble called HM which stands for Hard Music. Even though they speak with a lot of non-Christian groups, most of their focus is on Heavy Christian music. They will be the path to lead you to independent and underground artists. They also cover other genres as well such as goth and a little hip hop (which sounds stupid, but this genre is highly ignored in the Christian music industry).

Wish you well.

Mike, you are very wrong. System of a Down is awesome. More of melodic metal band which has members who are armenian and very political, but not a Christian band by any stretch.

well, black label society is kind of a southern rock/metal band, which for all intents and purposes is probably the same thing
