The point of terrorism is to through people into fear, right? to divide them to a point where they are unable to fight for themselves.

well, by constantly pointing your fingers at eachother and not offering a damn thing up, you are dividing the country! You are ALL buying into the Air America/Fox News propaganda that openly attacks those who have different opinions. Thos people who differ are dubbed 'stupid', 'loony' or 'unAmerican'.

There is a middle ground and the powers that be don't want you to find it. Both parties are responsible for where we are today and you feed them their power.

Did you know that polarizing the nation with name calling and accusations was harmful to us? Do you see it now? If so, what are you going to do about it? We will never 100% agree, but we can 100% work together and sacrifice to change America into what she was before she became a gluttonous whiner.

I know, you are right. But once independence was won, there seemed to be a time when we could get things done....
And this was when the loser of a prez election was the vice prez!!!

C'mon!!!

Seeing Clearly is blind...again!

Missed the point of the question!! You are a monkey fecal-flinger like the rest - and yes, like I am now.

There is a mid ground to everything and if both parties found it, we might not have ended up here. Think about it outside of your own opinions.

The point of a free country is to remain free.

A "middle-ground" is not an option when dealing with Islamo-facist-Nazis, HISTORY has proven that beyond the shadow of a doubt. They will not keep their word.

Clinton fed money into the middle east, Yassar Arafat pocketed the money targeted to help Palestinians.... yet Palestinians still loved the two faced murderous tyrant. As stated before, Islamo-facists, like communists, have been brain washed since childhood to hate and to kill.

Middle-ground for peace is a myth, the only middle-ground in the Mid-east and other areas where Islamo-facists operate is the battle field.

You might as well get used to it, they will not change, they are fanatics and they have declared war against all who are Jewish and those who will not convert to their hate filled version of Islam. And since a poll taken in the Arab world shows that between 68-73% of Arab Muslims support radical Islam, the world had better open its eyes and deal with the vermin in the only manner they understand.

The problem is that people are judged "liberal" if they disagree with the Bush administration. Throwing that term around loosely helps nothing. I refuse to agree with this administration or it's supporters. If that makes me "liberal" so be it.

Well put, nothing good will come of the polarization of the nation. Historically it results in civil war. It is your duty in a democracy to work with your government and each other towards the betterment of the nation. I am still yet to figure out how finger pointing, name calling and other similar play ground tactics are going to improve the nation.

if this pattern proceeds it will lead to the destruction of the nation.

The liberals and conservatives in this country didn't get along even before we were an independent country.

Half this country didn't want to fight for independence.

Same sh*t - different century
Get used to it.

For once, I agree with you. Good call!
There are a lot of divisive people here, that contribute nothing except insults, immature behavior. I'll admit that some of them have made me so angry, I've retaliated in ways that were less than desirable (calling them out on it, telling them they're pathetic), but I can already tell you that those same people are going around to my questions and answers, and giving me thumbs-down. I guess if I'm doing anything besides praising them for their lack of acceptance of other peoples' opinions, I deserve a thumbs-down, no?
I say it again: They're pathetic, and part of the problem.
