Actually Vince Young was selected pretty high and he was a running QB so I would say they haven't learned it yet.

I agree with you about Vick being overrated. The NFL will draft another running qb, its too tempting. However, they are getting the news that most of these guys aren't necessarily good qbs.
But there were very great running qb's, the definition of Running quarterback is not set in stone.
Steve Young could run with the best of them. Fran Tarkenton.
But were these guys Running qbs or mobile qbs? I say mobile rather than running.
Back in the 70's the Bears had a running qb name Bobby Douglas who had a better arm then Elway, rushed for 963 yards one year, 14 game season. But he couldn't play the position, should have been a fullback or tight end. Yeah, he was that tough.
He wasn't electric like Vick, but a great athlete and wasn't granted Sainthood by the media like today's media loves to kiss Vick's behind.

common, what is this crap!!! peyton manning will never win a super bowl and he sure has an arm, dan marino never did either and he had an arm! michael vick has one of the best records for a QB, he doesnt put up great numbers but he wins. you cant say he wont ever win a super bowl just because he hasnt yet, hes only played since 2001. michael vick has proven that a "running quarterback CAN be successful in the NFL

There will be dozens more because the liberal American media love to worship the black male athlete. Tell me that Matt Jones doesn't deserve to play QB in the NFL if Vick got the shot to do it? Vick isn't even the best QB on his own team. But, the NFL will continue to give oportunities to black athletes at ALL POSITIONS while guys like Mike Hass, Brock Forsey, Luke Staley and Rob Konrad get screwed! Either start to enjoy watching the likes of the Mike Vick Experience or find another sport to watch.

LOL
a running QB can't win in the NFL
A lot of teams have won with a running QB
u can' blame them for not winning a Super Bowl
and it has nothing to do with if a QB can run or not its how smart the QB is
To win a SB u have to have a complete team
Most running QBs in the NFL right now have few options to throw to

im gonna have to agree that Vince young was the most recent one. He was picked third, and you definitely have to say he's a running QB. He ran for 200 yards in the national championship game which is more than Vick has run for on the big stage. Wit the kind of successs Vick has had with destroying some teams, and the success that Young's projected to have, there will be others

To say he is a bust is just ignorant. He is the life of the Atlanta Falcons, as they proved by losing pretty much every game without him. He won't win a super bowl because he has no supporting cast, not because he is a scrambling QB. As for running QB's never winning in the NFL, try Steve Young on for size.

Wow do you have a clue what you are talking about. Vince Young was drafted because he was a running QB last year.

He already wasn't because Vince Young was drafted this year. Furthermore, there are several good ones on the horizon. A name you will be hearing a lot the next year will be Brent Schaeffer of Ole Miss. You heard it here first.

You say 'running quarterbacks cannot win in the NFL.' Well Roger Staubach and Fran Tarkenton disprove that theory
