The USA went into Iraq with intelligence that was false. Of course at the time many of our leaders and people thought it was true, so shouldn't most of the blame fall on those who gathered that intelligence?
Also even if the Iraq invasion was based on false information it is a wonderful thing to free people from fear and genocide. Yes not all of the Iraqis wanted to get rid of Saddam but a lot of the German people didn't want to oust Hitler either when they lost the Second World War.
Lastly the American scandals have been isolated cases, not that that makes them ok no one should be tortured no matter the crime, but they have all been punished. Extremist jihadist have been compromised with after harming innocent civilians to get around offending the Iraqis and causing more violence.
Just think about the situation a little more before you jump on the bandwagon.
