If you are an American it will be very hard for you to get a job in the food and beverage department on a cruise ship. Almost all cruise lines hire non americans to work onboard mainly for 2 reasons.
1-you work an average of 70 hours a week every single day of the day for the duration of 6 months.
2-you will have no rights what so ever while working onboard so they could fire you and deport you without any prior notice.
