I HAD A FUEL PUMP INSTALLED IN MY GAS TANK ITS ON A 2001 CHEV CAVILEAR SINCE THE INSTALLIATION MY RESEPTION HAS GONE FROM 80 MILES ON A STRONG STATION TO 30 MILES AND THERE IS NOW STATIC. IF I TURN ON A BLINKER OR FLASH MY LIGHTS IT SOMETIMES GOES AWAY. AND THE RECPTION IS BETTER BUT IT DOESNT WORK ALL THE TIME ...ARGH ....HELP...THX MIKE

Probably a bad ground. Who listens to AM any way?

Sounds like you have a bad ground. Start by taking some wire and running it from the hood (wrap it around one of the bolts after using sandpaper to clean off the area) to the engine and see if that improves it.

Perhaps the antenna wire has come unplugged from your radio.
