There is no reason saying the man HAS to be older but in a general sense women usually mature faster then men therefore resulting in a more compatable marriage

Who said the man must be older. There are lots of women that are older. Age really doesn't make a difference.

There really isn't one. I have a friend who is 15 years older than her husband. They have a good marriage and have been married for 28 years.

In fact, statistically men die 7-8 years younger than women, so it is an advantage if the woman is older.

The man doesn't have to be older. My great-aunt was 11 years older than her husband.

That's not true at all. I know a couple, the woman is, like, I think 7 years older than her husband. It does NOT matter.

The man does not have to be older... women usually tend to choose men who are older because they are closer in maturity levels and goals... after a certain age this is different because even though we mature "slower" (obviously depends on the definition of maturity, but usually means we arent as ready for mature relatiosnships as quickly as women are) we are apt and able to carry on with relationships with any woman... but this is of course after a certain age... there are exceptions as I believe myself to be but in general this is the view on men and relationships... ON a lighter note I know many marriages which consist of a woman who is older than her spouse... again there are many of us men who are capable of sustaining mature and fruitful relationships at earlier ages... and i mean like 20 or older... because mature (relationshipwise) teens males are a true rarety... Sorry Its true
