With my son it was around 4 months, but my daughter who is now 2 1/2 months started sleeping through the night at around 4 weeks. It all depends on the baby. And don't let anyone convince you that if you feed them formula or food it will make them sleep longer. I breastfed my son until he was 1 and my daughter is breastfed. It's rough not getting any sleep, but it's all part of being a parent.

Sorry to say this but you have to basically train your newborn to sleep through the night. My daughter was 2 months when she started to sleep through the night, but some of my friends has had their children sleeping throught the night anywhere from 6 wks to 6 months. Good Luck!

Mine started sleeping through the night between 4-6 month old. I alway tried to give mine a bottle about 10:00 and lay them down for bed and make that thier "long run". I got it where they slept from 10-4am and then would go back to sleet until 7:00. Good Luck.... it just takes patience and alot of no-dose.

mine is 14 months old and still wakes up at nights, not to eat, but i need to go to his room and put him back to sleep. It's different with every baby, I have known of some that start sleeping through the night at 4 months, so It's a matter of luck.

(I don't believe in letting them cry to sleep)

not very long. although some newborns do sleep a few hours at a time during the night, most newborns wake up every few minutes because they are hungry.

That baby will sleep through the night when it's ready! My son slept through the night when he was just a couple of weeks old - but my daughter didn't sleep through the night till she was 6 months old. They're miniature people with personalities of their own......

Mine slept through the night by six weeks old. Make sure you feed them every 2 1/2 to 3 hours during the day and put them down in their own bed awake but drowsy and after awhile they get it babies need their sleep just as much as we do.

My son woke up around midnight for his milk until he turned 1. My daughter started sleeping through the night at 14 weeks! some find it unbelievable but she sleeps at 9-9:30 and wakes up at 6:30-7 in the morning for her milk.So i think it varies.

It's different with all babies. When i had my first baby, she was sleeping all night since the day we had arrived home from the hospital. I had to wake her up after sleeping six straight hours so she can eat. For my second baby, it was a completely different story. My sone will wake up exactly every three hours for his bottle. I started to bathe him at nigh, and used the swaddle me blanket so he could sleep all night. He slept for about 5 hours. Wehn he turned 7 mo. he would sleep for 9 hours straight.
