Me and my wife are planning on going to Florida for a vacation, probably in december, and I am wondering what good hotel we can stay at, that is near enough to universal studios, sea world, and all that jazz, ideally they would have free shuttles to the places, and mabye the nearest beach, what is your advice to me, on seeing all the sights, and hitting a beach up for one day as well?

If you are going to Universal Studios, I recommend the DoubleTree hotel at Universal. It is very nice, directly across the street from Universal. You can walk to the park, or take the shuttle, but walking will more than likely get you there faster since the bus takes about 20 minutes (goes to other hotels). There are other hotels across the street (Holiday Inn, Amerisuites, Hampton Inn, Comfort Inn, Best Western, La Quinta, etc) but I have stayed at the Doubletree and LOVED it!

You could also stay at Universal at the Portofino Bay Resort, Hard Rock Hotel, or the Royal Pacific Hotel Resort. These are on site, but very expensive. A plus is that you get to use your room key to get in the front of all the lines at the park and staying on property is convenient!

The nearest beach is Daytona or Cocoa or New Smyrna... any beach in that direction. Only about 40 to 45 minutes to get there.

You can do both parks at Universal in two days, so the beach would be fun, but you probably won't be doing any swimming. Sea World is another day as well. You could go to Disney for a day or two, or go to the Mall at Millenia and many of the other wonderful shopping opportunities there are in Orlando! So much to do!

Have fun!

Wellllllllll Universal in in the middle of everything and if u want shuttles and all that jazz they supply that to a lot of local spots like Wet & Wild. Universal has some AWESOME hotels too..The Portifino is the best on in my opinion the rooms are HUGE and the hotel it self is breath-taking. The other added bonus to staying on Universal property? Your room key...is your key to bypassing the wait lines in the park....TOO COOL RIGHT???

As far as beaches since ur in Orlando you can choose any direction...U can go to Daytona (cool thing is there u can actually drive on the beach) or Clearwater near Tampa which is absolutly breathtaking. There is also Cocoa but I don't really recommend that one cause it seems to be...well just toooo crowed. If your going to Universal, Sea World, & both of Universal's parks (yes they have two and they are both in the same location) you should purchase a ticket called the 4 Park Flex ticket...its good for 14 consecutive days AND its for all the parks I just mentioned...Its an awesome deal and you will save a lot of money. I hope you have a great time in Orlando :)

Orlando is not near a beach. You can drive over to Cocoa Beach or Daytona Beach, but there is no shuttle as you are talking about an hour to get there. There are lots of hotels with shuttle service. Look in Lake Buena Vista

If you choose a motel off sight from Universal or Disney, Most all the Motels in the area have free shuttles to all the resorts. They are usually cheaper than the ones on Disney or Universal Property.

i could say the position your searching for is Miami. Daytona sea coast is a waste of time, actually no longer something the following, yet Miami Orlando are particularly cool. Orlando is landlocked besides the undeniable fact that, and its a 2 hourchronic to get to the sea coast from Orlando
