I was in the hospital for about six weeks when I was a little kid--about 6 years old. I kept running low grade fevers and they didn't know why, and back then they would keep you in the hospital forever, if they thought you might be contagious.
What a drag that was! Visiting hours were only for adults, so I couldn't see my four brothers at all, and my parents could only stay for an hour a day. My mom wouldn't leave--they had to throw her out every single night. They never did find out what caused the fevers-eventually my temperature returned to normal and stayed that way.

I was having complications with my 2nd pregnancy, and at 29 weeks I had to go to the hospital. After 1 1/2 days they took my son or he would have been still born. He weighed 2 lbs 4 oz, and I was in the hospital for about 4 days. By the way, he is 3 1/2 now, and healthy! He is a fighter!

I an Male and have never ever been in hospital for more than a few hours. I guess I am lucky. At 44 I guess I still have time though :o)
The worst was just to have 4 stitches in my leg when I fell off a swing and landed on a sawn off hedge stump (ouch) which I was in for only a couple of hours....
Lucky me eh ...

2 whole weeks and they were the longest 2 weeks ever. I was in with pneumonia afew years ago. They wanted to keep me afew days longer but I said enough is enough, I want to go home. They even had me in isolation for about 4 days, no visitors. This was also around the time of the Sars outbreak here in Toronto.

10 days when I was first born. There was nothing wrong with me but those were the days when new mothers could get used to it and relax rather than being chucked out in 6 hours like they are nowadays.
