The American people has to read a politics newspaper in order to wake up and smell the war Most of the time they too busy paying bills, send the kids to school, and working two jobs to keep up with their Jones.Meanwhile, they subsidize the faulty rich of 2% who do not pay taxes in America. It sad but this is the real story that everyone has to encounter everyday. They know it is the 2 wars and they will feel the shadow war between Iran and their government is coming and I hope the cease fire sticks otherwise, they have another job to support the third war.

We know we are at war we just don't care. Why should bombings at Ali Baba land have an affect on us? I think that until bombings start happening here (which I hope never happens) we will continue to remain apathetic. Maybe if gas prices were not so high, all that is going on over there would be nothing more than a quick 2 minute highlight in the 10 o'clock news.

You would have thought 9/11 would have woken us all up, and I think it did, but then we rolled over and went back to sleep.

Of course if the media would stop referring to the plot discovered yesterday as an "alleged" plot and would start referring to this as an actual attempt at harming Americans, British and the West that might help.

In addition to this, if Congress would grow some balls and actulally attack the problem of radical Islam, and terrorism instead of attacking each other that might help too. But that will never happen!

I would have thought that any educated American that gave half a crap would have already realized this after 9/11. And for those that don't remember that, how about the newly discovered Muslim extremists that were plotting to do THE SAME THING again, just on what appears to be an even larger scale.

How about a formal declaration of war by Congress, who has sole authority to do so? Hasn't happened yet.

We have a war on drugs, a war on crime, a war on terror. But these are just marketing phrases. They have no legal meaning.

Not that this administration seems to care about what the laws actually say.

A media that isn't afraid to get in trouble for broadcasting images of fallen American soldiers.
Sometimes I doubt that would even help. Unless someone brings the fight to America (which is pretty much impossible at this point. I don't see any country being able to actually try and invade any part of the US)

What will it take for people like you to realize who the real enemy is? Here is a clue it is not the rhetoric your parroting while forfeiting your financial security and Constitutional rights! So if Bush says Simon says you echo it another real independent thinker no wonder we the people can't change anything to many bobble-heads with crayons waiting to color the printed lines! Which war are you talking about? Is it the one between the liberals and conservatives, the democrats and republicans?
Maybe you are referring to the war between families and gays? Then again you could be referring to the war on poverty, or the war on drugs, or the war on crime.
I know you are not talking about a holy war. No one in their right mind would go to war against religion would they?
Clearly you must mean the war against ourselves.

Most good americans, unlike liberals realize that we are at war. You could drop a bomb in a libs backyard and the spineless coward would blame George Bush. To a commie lib, America is always at fault.

"THE SAME THING again, just on what appears to be an even larger scale."

actually it wasn't the exact same thing and it was really on a larger scale more planes involved but less human death they were planning to blow them up over the ocean each plane holds what 200-300 people? so you are looking at 2000-3000 people so it may have been smaller or on the same level not bigger. Please don't be so sensationalist about it.
