All chemicals stress your system, many people enjoy it and so think that it is relieving stress when actually they are enjoying the stimulation.
If you are new to it you will get all kinds of fantastic effects. As you develop tolerance over the first years of heavy smoking it becomes part of your system so that w/out it you feel stressed. If it's your thing and you therefore get addicted you will need it 3 or 4 times a day to feel 'normal' and good but then many people never get hooked and can take it or leave it. THC depends a lot more on your personal reactions than say nicotine w. it's 90% serious addiction rate and a lot less than say alcohol which is a more universal drug w. a 10% serious problem rate.

The effects are different for everyone. Possible effects can include:
1. Paranoia
2. Relaxation
3. Pain relief
4. Headaches, dizziness
5. Munchies, hunger
6. Memory loss (some temporary, some permanent)
7. Loss of motor skills
There are others as well, it varies from person to person, and depending on where the drug came from, its age, and whether or not it is mixed with something.
All smoke damages your lungs, and although it is less harmful than alcohol, the drug does kill some brain cells (particularly related to memory). You cannot overdose on marijuana like you can alcohol or niccotine - you cannot die from smoking too much (unless it is tainted), but you will get dumber over time.
Possession is illegal in most places, but use is generally not. You can't get arrested for being high unless you are driving or riding a bicycle on the street (you can get a DUI).
Personally, the only effects I have ever felt from it is relaxation, stress relief, and hunger.

It can give you a head ache and releave it as well. All depends on what you smoke. If you smoke only the buds you shouldn't get a head ache. If you put stems and seeds in and smoke them they will give you a ripping head ache.
It makes me feel great. It releaves the stress of the day. It just makes everthing better. Try it you will like it.
Don't listen to the people who have never smoked it they are brain washed by the media who want you to belive pot is bad. Do some reseach on your own and you will see that it is a great thing that has minimal bad side effects.

Weed does relieve stress for a few hours. As far as headaches, pain relievers are for that.

well, it's pretty much a pain killer..but I don't know for some that say they get headaches...but it relieves stress definitely. Don't get too hooked tho, it will suck the life out of you...i know. I just quit about 2 months ago, and it was harder than quitting ciggarettes. But every now and again I might take a puff to help me get to sleep. :)

Marijuana slows down your metabolism, so be careful. If you have any kind of metabollic disorder, are diabetic, hypoglycemic.....I'd ask a doctor friend. I've heard it's very relaxing, so it's ability to get rid of your headache is probably dependant on the cause of your headache.
