i don't know, i don't have an ipod. some of my "songs" last 120 minutes or more, so i have been reluctant to get one.

if your songs are only ...say, 1 minute 31 seconds long then you can fit alot in there,, but if your songs are more like 9 minutes and 50 seconds long, or 14 minutes and 4 seconds long then you cant fit that many. i would tell you exactly but its out in the garage, i'll be there later ,, probably all night.
if i got a new one and gave you my old one would you promise not to take out my favorites or put any kelly clarkson in ?

It depends on the quality and length of the songs. A standard 4 minute song, at 128KB Quality takes up about 4MB of space...
A 1GB MP3 player will hold 1024 MB... or roughly 256 songs of that length and quality.

Depends on the memory on it, if your Ipod 10 GB, it holds approx 2500.
