Yes you should if you are lonely. They are very playful but you have to get them a wheel otherwise they will not be fit and as playful as they can be.
My hamster, Hami Dude(Hamilten Dudly), likes cereal but you shouldn't feed them anything except the food that comes in the bag. My hammy is very fat but SO CUTE! It's your choice: fat and cute, skinny and playful.
Another concern to most people is you go in the store thinking, "I'm getting a hamster, a cheap cage and some food and bedding." But when you actually talk to someone about the hamsters needs, you will learn that your little guy needs chewing sticks to keep his teeth from getting long(that can kill him), DriTail formula for diahreeha(can kill him), and you also need medicine(because he can die without them!) But the real concern comes at the price. Most people are on a budget and think that hamsters are the best way to go and sometimes they are but when you get all of the supplies you have just spent $50-70 dollars on a hamster!
It's your decision but I think you should get a hamster.(Oh and also, Dwarf hamsters cost more than Angora/ Teddy Bears)

Hammy is a very cute creature. But they are also a living thing. When you decide to have one. You really have to take care of it well. You'll never regret it

whatever makes you happy... Hamsters can be fun to watch and entertaining at night time. be sure to get a hamster wheel

Only if your ready to get one if you ready to be responsible and they don't smell if you clean the cage out then you and the hamster will be happy if you need help with the supplies go to www.petsmart.com or www.petco.com.

this is what i would do i would get a bunny they are a lot more entertaining then a hammy i had one and he bit me all the time that's why i got a bunny ...................... well i hope you make a good choice bye

yes get one, why not? the only thing he can do is bite you, but you'll live and if he gets used to you he wont good luck lol
