I love that name. I always remember the wonderful song... "They call the wind Mariah." So to me it connotes beauty, power, and self-determination.
Mariah Carey is just one of many people who took her name from this song. Don't dismiss a beautiful, strong name just because one person might not live up to it!

its a pretty name. other than that famous person.... I feel its a Jewish name? sort of Biblical sounding?
