I'm thinking of buying it on dvd to take on vacation with us because we rent a cabin and like to watch movies at night with the whole family.

It's a good family movie but be prepared to be really grossed out by the clogged toilet scenes

You'll be wasting your money on that one. Wasn't Williams best. Take these instead. Pay it Forward, The worlds Fastest Indian, Holes, Patch Adams, Hidalgo, Secondhand Lions or October Sky.
