If it is from a fair, it isn't a true Koi, just a regular goldfish (carp). Get it a regular goldfish food, and it will be happy. If properly cared for, they can live 15 years or more. BTW, koi and quite expensive, and a county fair wouldn't use them as a prize.

Wow!! Where can I win one?? Those are expensive, long living pond fish and can eat regular food but it's best to get the good stuff for them. They live a long time and can get quite large, hence the fish pond deal. You need to make sure it is really a Koi since it needs special treatment whereas a regular goldfish does not. Good luck!!

you've already finished an outstanding pastime with the aid of conserving them alive this lengthy (in my adventure, loose goldfish have a tendency to die contained in the bag on the way residing house). they are likely below pressure at replacing environments so quick, and they favor to get used to all of it previously they'll eat. supply them time. Self-protection might want to kick in in some unspecified time sooner or later even if or not they are no longer fullyyt adjusted. they'll be wonderful.
