Basically, Jesus came to save humanity.

This world is a fallen world because the devil is the prince of this world. the reason behind this is a rather long story, at least to explain, so i'll just say that for now.

the first man, adam, sinned and was disobedient to God, so sin is inherited by all. we are born sinners and are prone to sin. sin is falling short of the greatness, holiness, and perfection of God. because God is holy, He cannot have sin before Him. sin goes against Him and His kingdom.

However, this is not the way God wanted it to be, that we be seperated from Him. He loved us so much that He had His Son, Jesus, who lived a sinless life, to die in our place so that we can be forgiven and washed of our sins. He places His Spirit within us when we believe. we know we belong to Him and we begin to have a relationship with Him.

satan is still the prince of this world, however, and is always trying to bring us down, to discourage us and hurt us. this is a spiritual battle. Jesus dying on the cross gave us victory over the devil, but we must pray, submitting to God and renouncing the devil. God is not wanting to harm you, but to bless you. however, the Bible said that the afflictions of (spiritual attacks upon) the righteous (those who have been made in right standing with God because of their belief in Jesus) are many. even after you believe, the devil will try to make life hard for you, but you will have One greater that will help you and bless you.

the Bible says that you can have joy and peace at all times because of His Spirit that He will give to you. He loves you so much.

Jeremiah 29:11,13
"For I know that plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future...you will seek Me and find Me when you seek Me with all your heart."

Luke 12:32
"Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the Kingdom."

Hebrews 12:2
"looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God."

you are that joy!

i dont belong to any religion but i am a bible believer. if you want to know about GOD i would just read the bible. all religion is going to do is confuse you even more. GOD says ask and it will be given and seek and ye shall find. God does not cause all of our bad karma we do it to our selves. GOD has given us His word and hes given us common sence. to figure things out own our own. but if we need a little help every now and then he will give it to us acording to our faith, if you believe with out a doubt he will answer your prayers if he feels this is the best thing for you. its like a child wanting candy the child wants it but the parent doesnt give it to the child because its not in its best interest. also when we teach are children to walk we let them go even tho they may fall. we learn from hardship with out hardship we wouldnt know joy. we shouldnt hate GOD because of our own mistakes. if GOD picked us up every time we fell we would never learn to stand on our own. jesus is the word.

You should post this question under religion - you will get a lot more responses.

BTW: You really don't want to know about Jesus or any religion. You think Christians are happier? Boy, are you in for a nasty shock!

I personally was raised christian and I think that their is just as much bullshit and lies that go on with the christian religion as their is with any religion. I`m pagan/buddhist (kind of my own religion) now but i view all religions facsinating. All religions can teach you good things on life and how to treat others, but i think christianity has too much twisted facts and lies about everything! The bible is good to read as far as it can teach you good things...but it has been changed considerably to satisfie human nature and the longing for something someone believes in, to be changed to convince the masses of something.

If you want to know more about the Christian religion, I would suggest you start by picking up a copy of the Bible. Read it, reflect on it. If you have questions, seek a priest or minister from a local church and ask for their advice.

It would take way too long to talk about here but if you get a Bible... read about Jesus in the New Testament in the book of John.

He is an awesome God!!

God bless you...

There's a misconception about Christianity, especially among Christians. It's not about knowing ABOUT God. It's about KNOWING GOD. Religion is worthless. Relationship is what saves.

first of all why should god be happy or sad for you, if you want to be happy just be happy, why should anything in this world take your happiness away.if you think embracing any other religion would make you happy trust me you will be disappointed royally your happiness is a personal thing it should not depend on anything outside.

God is one..... he loves us all..........
he gives some people tough time not because He dislikes them but He wants to improve them. he is the one who punishes people when they move on to wrong path......lies, bribery, adultery etc...we must not forget that HE has power over all things and that He can Make us die at any instant...There is Islam and there is christianity....where you might find such answers very detailed.......It is much more described in Islam.....

Google "GOD".

If you hate him, why learn more. No religion is more realistic than the other.
