I absolutely agree with you. You should look extensively at my q/a's. It is really getting ridiculous. It is hypocritical to say we like every race and every culture. There is a distinct difference between the expressive and boisterous hispanics and the quiet private asians. Surely you will prefer one over the other. If you don't like blacks, so what. As long as you don't cause them any harm, big deal. We need to just get over this crap already. And I also think it's time that some blacks admit that they are no longer after equality but supremacy and pay back. Not all blacks and I know that for sure. I owe my nursing career to my black instructor and the head of the nursing department at school. If it wasn't for them, I wouldn't be where I am today. However, there are those blacks nurses purposely trying to oust white nursing students for no reason at all. These are the ones that sicken me.

I hate being PC. The whole PC double standard thing is annoying. Actually more of a reverse PC. It's everywhere. Black commedians can maker fun of any culture and it's funny. When whites do it, especially toward blacks, it's a racist remark.
Am I wrong to assume that the more oppressed the culture, the more they want PC representation? The Japanese were just as oppressed during the war and I have yet to hear one get mad when their culture was nearly blown up (oops, a pun) by the A bomb.
Yet, black culture in the US is still pissed about the whole slavery issue and that was such a long time ago that no former slave has been alive for something like 75 years or whatever.
I'm a pacific rimmer and had a relative who was born is South Africa. He's now a citizen of 15 years. When we were at a local club a couple (girl=caucasian, guy=black) asked him about his nationality and he said he was African American. Well, this couple throws a sh*t fit saying he shouldn't make fun of the 'REAL' African Americans.
I think PC is only beneficial to those who need an excuse to make an argument. I was born in the Philippines and hate being referred as a Filipino American or Asian American. I do think it's totally funny when someone comments about whether or not I've eaten dog since that seems synonymous with Filipino & Asian culture. Why should I get mad? It's all in good fun. People need to stop being uptight.

I agree...
Political correctness came about because the real assholes took things just a bit too far and now I wonder if people are being genuine or politcally correct. I am an equal opportunity offender. I can dish it and take it.

I agree. People have long since parted ways with honesty. In a truly free society, you should be able to do the things to which you refer.

I try more to consider the feelings of the people around me and their preferences. It doesn't particularly tire me to be considerate to people.

I think everyone is tired of it.
You're all wrong though, because your above example still promotes and excuses racism whether you think so or not.
