I believe in creation and God because science is unable to explain everything. Also, evolution has no hard core evidence, no more than creation. I mean, I can't say that I was there to see the world being created, and an evolutionist can't say that he was around to watch as creatures evolved from primordial muck. There are no transitional forms that suggest that there even was evolution. and there is no scientific evidence to say that there is God. Either of these beliefs are just that... beliefs. Anyone who trusts in either of these is doing so purely by faith, and until there is some hardcore evidence that can finally prove it one way or another, it will remain that way.

Oh, and Kevin S. you just contradicted yourself by saying that we have witnessed evolution and then said that it happens too slowly for us to witness. Just thought I would point that out for you.

To your response Kevin S. , it is obvious that you are not going to be changing your opinion on this matter. I just wanted to say that many of those transitional forms from ape to man were proven fakes, and those that haven't been PROVEN fake are sketchy at best. And why on earth aren't there more transitional forms? If evolution were true then there should be thousands or millions of transitional forms fossilized for us to have found. Yet only a few "transitionial forms" have been found. And of those, some are alive today. So how one can call those transitional forms, I don't understand it. Well, I won't be responding to anymore of your posts after this, because it just seems to you worked up. I will believe in what I believe in and you can believe in what you want to believe in, and I will just leave it at that.

Creation

Evolution of coarse. Our country is really moving in a very ignorant direction. Creation is very is easy to believe because it requires no research or thought. We live in a country of laziness that has never been reached before.

Just a quick question for all the Creationist:

What happened when the lions on Noah's Arc got hungry? Did they wipe out a few hundred species that we would have had now?

Evolution because we have witnessed it, and the human body still has reminents of evolutionary changes on the genetic and skeletal system, and possibly even on the organ level.

"If the theory of evolution were true, why aren't the primapes evolving?"

They already did they branched into you and me. Also how do we know they aren't still evolving it took something like 2 million years to evolve from apes into mankind so we obviously don't have scientific data from 2 million years ago they may very well be evolving though we wouldn't see it for hundreds of thousands of years still

"here are no transitional forms that suggest that there even was evolution"

Really homo erectus, homo sapiens, neanderhtals were all what? Also you want proof of evolution why does mankind have a gene that if turned on would allow man to have a tail? why do we have the skeletal bones for the placement of a tail? The birds on the Galapagos of the same species just have beak sizes that are perfect for the island on even though they can trace when the birds most likely left South America.

How did you guys ever make it through biology?

"and Kevin S. you just contradicted yourself by saying that we have witnessed evolution and then said that it happens too slowly for us to witness. Just thought I would point that out for you."

We have witnessed it through fossils and the changing of species around the world. Other evolutions may be happening that we cannot witness because they are taking longer. Things can happen at varied paces though something on the scale of changing from primates to man took millions of years.

i believe that evolution IS creation. Consider that God is God and that it may have taken him thousands of years to get man into what thinks man ought to be. Those thousands of years are probably just seconds/mere moments to Him.

And while science can supposedly explain almost everything, the very existence of faith is a confirmation of the existence of a higher being, if not the source of its existence in truth.

i personally believe in God, Jesus Christ and the Holy Bible. But oftentimes, i think people take the Bible too literally, and not look deep enough and get the "real" meanings and essences of what it tells us. Am not a Bible scholar, but i think that over-literalizing the Bible's contents is not a case of an over-active faith, but a rather lazy disposition to just take everything in. and for everything that doesn't make sense, they're called "holy mysteries".

a lot of people focus on the "worshipping" and "believing" aspects of religion. people often forget that religion is also more about learning and understanding our fellow "creations" to make the best of this grand gift called LIFE.

Why not "creation through evolution"?

I believe in evolution.

I was raised as a catholic, so I of course understand that it seems I am contradicting my religion. I am not so wrapped up in the Bible that I'm gonna translate what God said to be "7 days" to what we (mere humans) think are 7 days.
3.85 billion years could easily be 7 days to a being that created everything.

Besides, if we're here racking our brains about the history of the universe when there is evidence of the existence of billions of years on everything (eg: carbon dating)--what rantings do we come up with when everything's is just equal to the amount of years archived from the bible (that's what around 6,000 years?).
