It's so dangerous...there are nerves in your tongue that do not run in consistent courses, so there is no way to be sure where they are. If they are damaged in the piercing process, you could end up with no sensation in one side of your tongue, or it could even be paralyzed, in which case you could not swallow properly, or talk at all. Then there is the possibility of excessive bleeding, because the tongue also has a lot of blood supply, and IT isn't reliably located either. This is not even to mention the risk of infection (very high in the mouth), and the damage the metal may do to your teeth. Do yourself a favor, and skip it. Stick to piercing less risky parts.

Don't do it. You can get your tongue numbed so it doesn't hurt when they are sticking the needle but afterwords it swells and you talk really funny. However, mine didn't allow me to speak properly. With it I had a speech impediment. I had it for a year and then took it off and I won't ever get it done again.

Well it depends on the age if your in your teens u can but i personaly would not get it pierced, it gets infected and then u can`t eat, and it will really hurt!! {my aunt had her`s pierced}

i would advise against it. it makes you talk weird and have smelly breath. it can also get infected and caught on things.
