Monster under my bed was definitely my fear. Then my brother made it worse one night, by waiting till I was getting ready for bed and then when I went to the bathroom to brush me teeth, he snuck in my room and crawled underneath my bed. So when I went back in my room and crawled into bed, he started making noises underneath my bed. I was terrified already, but he made it worse by reaching up and tugging on my cover and speaking in a strange voice. I screamed and he jumped out and scared me even more.... I was never so terrified as I was that night. Although I think it's extremely hilarious now, I sure didn't think it was when it happened! lol.... But that's ok... because payback was a b*tch! BWAHHAHAHAHAHAH!!! *evil laugh*

The thing under the stairs is what scared me as a kid. We lived in a very old house that had a dirt cellar and every single time I was sent down to get something, I just knew something was going to reach out and grab my foot as I was heading back up stairs. Luckily nothing ever did.LOL
P.S.
Even as an adult, I still have that irrational fear of basement stairs.

There wasa rumor that the maintenance guy that worked in the bolier room of this builing used to grab little kids and pull out their teeth and use it for the cobblestone looking stuff that was on the walls of parts of the builiding. I went down there on a dare and he saw me and asked what I was doing down there and I ran like hell.. . I didn't want to find out if it was real

Satan, the devil, etc, etc. I'm from a religious Catholic family and I often hear stories about being possesed, hell, and the like from them.
When I was younger and more gullible my parents told me if I didn't behave better (i was the classic spoiled brat), Satan might come to my room one night and bring me straight to hell himself, or that the ground might open up and swallow me alive. Yeah, lol, I know, stupid, but I believed it, it scared the crap out of me, and had nightmares for weeks.
Still dream about it, too...

I was always afraid of the boogy man. I was afraid he would jump out of the closet and get me, or reach out from under the bed and grab my feet while I was getting in the bed.

I was simply afraid of the dark, which can unfortunately encompass a lot of other fears. I was still afraid of the dark well into my teens and until maybe a couple of years ago. I'm 26.

That something would chase me up the basement stairs after I turned out the light down there. So I would turn off the light and race up the stairs as fast I could and never look back.

I nearly drowned in the ocean when I was a little kid, and I've carried that fear of deep water with me ever since
